Today i heard a story about a friend who died from cancer. I remember it was last Monday night when we were told that she had suffered from sickness. We had no idea what it was, but eight hours later, Tuesday morning, she died.
It was not for too long since she knew about her sickness. She went for a check up on the 19th of June 2011 without knowing how bad her condition had been. After series of examinations, the doctor gave the bad news. She was diagnosed with lung cancer, 4th stage. Since then, the doctor did not let her go and confined her for three weeks. She tried to fight for survival, but then it was too late. A month after, 19th of July, she died at the age of 45. However, she died with relief on her face, and her family had shown her courage of acceptance.
Truly we will never know when our life would end. God has given us the abundance of life to enjoy and make the most of it. Our life is borrowed from God, and it is our responsibility to paint it with wonderful colors, make it fruitful, and as we give it back to the Lord, we will be delighted to present it to Him.
